Treating chronic and acute pain, with an interest in TMJ issues
Tim trained as a Sports & Remedial Massage Therapist over 10 years ago.
He has completed the Certificate in Integrated Myofascial Therapy in 2012 and was one of the first graduates of the MFR UK Advanced Clinical Diploma in 2015. He is also a Yoga Teacher (Scaravelli inspired). Tim has also travelled to the USA twice to train with John F Barnes. Tim’s aim is to help people find a way to ease their pain and discomfort, and to provide help with ways that his patients can look after themselves, using both yoga and SMFR Therapy. He has a particular interest in the pain and discomfort that can be caused by TMJ issues but uses a full-body approach to resolving the pain and tension.
Special interests:
- Back pain
- Scar tissue managment
- TMJ issues
Tim treats a variety of clients in both acute and chronic pain.
Working within chiropractic clinics, Tim has experience in many musculoskeletal issues but has a particular interest in Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) issues and the headaches, pain, and discomfort they can cause. He views the body as a whole and so will consider the full Crania/sacral system when treating all clients. If the condition warrants working inside the mouth, he has several intraoral techniques to address tensions from inside the mouth. Tim likes to give his clients tools, exercises, and techniques for them to manage their own health and well-being and so a typical session will also involve suggestions of things clients can do to maintain their bodies. He also runs yoga and SMFR Therapy classes.
