Student Agreement

In this 'Student Agreement' we, our, or us refers to In-Touch Education &/or Myofascial Release UK (MFR UK) & In-Touch Education noted as 'MFR UK'. 

MFR UK strives to offer the highest quality of post-graduate training and recognises that everyone has a contribution to make to our society and has a right to equal opportunities. 


MFR UK shall not discriminate based on race, colour, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations but will instead treat everyone fairly and with dignity and respect.

Those involved with us, all staff, lecturers, assistants, sponsors, contractors, and all students have a legal and moral obligation not to discriminate. All students will be valued equally, and an accessible and professional learning environment will always be provided. No form of bullying, intimidation, or harassment will be tolerated. Student attendance will be open to all within the determined pre-requisite qualification criteria. All breaches of conduct and incidents of discrimination will be dealt with fairly and timely by MFR UK or by a mutually acceptable mediator.

GDPR

MFR UK does not keep/hold any payment details, credit/debit card numbers, for any of their students.

Students personal or business contact details are held on computer for course/workshop information only and are not given to another person, business, or organisation without permission.

MFR UK does adhere to all GDPR requirements, including any implemented data recording Covid-19 requirements, during live attendance to the workshops, student clinics, masterclasses, online education and on-going attendance training.

All students are provided with an 'opt-out' for all marketing.

We agree to provide you, the student:

  • A comprehensive guide to online course and live workshop prices, dates, and venues.
  • Full and relevant online course information including theory, video access, online meetings, course requirements and date sensitive assessments and course completing information.
  • Full and relevant live workshop/student clinic and masterclass information including times, dates, venues and what to bring.
  • Information on any relevant industry or UK guidance regarding health and safety which may be in place at the time of any and all live events.
  • Full information on course/workshop cancellation, deferment, and refunds (see below).
  • Students with assistance for any accessibility issues and special needs for workshops, online courses, masterclasses, video conferencing, student clinics and exams/assessment. It should be noted that additional 1-2-1 support at any course/workshop incurs an additional fee upon booking. Prior agreement can be made for accessibility support where costs are to be reimbursed to MFR UK.
  • Support to all students via email, social media, video conferencing and telephone for course/workshop content if necessary.
  • Individual tuition can be made available for an additional charge.
  • An acceptable investigation and resolution for any grievances or concerns raised by any student and notify the outcome to all persons involved.
  • A learning environment that is accessible to all.

Your commitment to us:

  • It is each individual student’s responsibility to access and complete any online course material – where relevant.
  • The delivery, and on-going delivery, of course access, practical or theoretical content, will be provided dependant on specific course criteria. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that the pre-requisite for access is adhered to.
  • Any student concerned about accessibility issues are encouraged to contact MFR UK for support.
  • Attendance is required for the entire in-person workshops, student clinics and masterclasses due to the amount of content, respect to fellow students, and for insurance and accreditation reasons as per the specific course content. For in-person events - while leaving early or arriving late may be necessary due to an emergency, commitment to attend is valued and expected.
  • Leaving early may result in failure to experience all techniques offered jeopardising insurance to practice and failure to receive the course certificate.
  • Students are responsible for checking directly with their own Professional Indemnity insurance broker/company regarding insurance requirements; MFR UK is not responsible if any person is unable to gain insurance to use/practise any of the techniques offered in any of our workshops/courses and MFR UK bears no responsibility to any monies lost or costs incurred as a result.
  • Students who are members of a Professional Association (PA) are responsible for checking with that PA directly regarding the submission of any CPD certificates and points/hours awarded.
  • Photographs, video or audio recordings during any video meetings or live courses courses/workshops, student clinics or masterclasses is not allowed.
  • Copying, reprinting, replicating, recording or distribution of any MFR UK documentation including technique and theory manuals/workbooks, videos and any/all certificate/diploma paperwork is not allowed - includes online digital and paper format.
  • MFR UK also has a plagiarism policy. This is where someone outside of the MFR UK teaching/admin team uses MFR UK text, documents, techniques, pictures, or any teaching material and, presents it as their own. This will not be tolerated. Plagiarism also applies to any student assessments where students must not use any other person’s (including online) material and present it as their own.
  • Misplaced workshop manual/workbooks and/or certificates can be obtained for a charge of ÂŁ10.
  • At all times, we respectfully ask that if any student who has cause for concern with regards to any element of the MFR UK training, that they contact us directly as soon as possible so that any issues which arise may be dealt with appropriately or where .
  • MFR UK reserves the right to refuse in-person or online attendance to any organised event due to not meeting the required pre-requisite prior learning or due to any conflict of interest. MFR UK also reserve the right to refuse directory listing due to any conflict of interest or incomplete training. 
  • MFR UK reserves the right to ask any student whose conduct is continually causing a disturbance during any course/workshop, student clinics and masterclasses or exam, to leave without reimbursement.
  • MFR UK reserves the right to refuse attendance to video meetings student clinics, masterclasses, practical/oral exam attendance, or the delivery of any/all course documentation until any grievance MFR UK may have with any student, is satisfactorily resolved.

Course amendments

  • MFR UK wishes to advise students that all course costs are non-refundable once paid as per the terms and conditions on the MFR UK website.
  • Courses sold with a specific time length cannot be extended for any reason. This includes online learning programmes and time length of attendance for in-person training. Please make a note of the time length of your course and diarise it as necessary.
  • Course work will only be provided upon payment of the required costs including payment plans. Failure to pay will result in denial of access to course work, video meetings, and attendance to the student clinics, workshops, and masterclasses. However, students can defer once only at no charge as long as 4 weeks' notice is provided for any practical attendance and any specialist MFR workshops attendance. Notification within 4 weeks will incur a ÂŁ75 charge to amend their attendance.
  • Please note that Covid-19 is no longer considered any differently to other illness. Students who are unable to attend a paid course/workshop, due to illness, including testing positive for Covid-19 or having to self-isolate will still be subject to the above course changes and cancellations.

  • MFR UK does offer additional live attendance specialist workshops. Changes to these workshops are more challenging as they are taught by visiting lecturers or are only run every 2-3 years. In these situations, we will do our best to find someone to fill your space. However, cancellation with less than 4-weeks’ notice for any reason may result in a loss of fees paid. MFR UK's own workshops incur a ÂŁ75 change fee if less than 4 weeks’ notice is provided.

  • Additionally, if you have booked an in-person course/workshop and subsequently cannot attend, there is a maximum of 18 months from the date of the original workshop booking which you can use your workshop/course credit after which you will lose the workshop value. Credit can be transferred to another workshop and/or venue.

  • MFR UK is not responsible for any travel, accommodation or expenses reimbursement when any person/student cancels their attendance or, in the unfortunate circumstances that MFR UK has to cancel any of their programmes in-person or otherwise.
