General Practitioner working with a wide variety of conditions, chronic pain, and rehabilitation post surgery/injury
I began practising massage in 1991, completing my Therapeutic Massage training with the College of Holistic Medicine in 1991. Since then, I have worked and studied internationally, training in Deep tissue, trigger point, Crystal healing Massage, Watsu, Lomi Lomi, and with many different cosmetic houses and Spa providers. More recently, I achieved my Advanced Clinical Diploma in Integrated Myofascial Therapy, passing with distinction and additional training in Myofascial cupping and Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation (IASTM). I am a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists. I pull from all the techniques in my tool kit to tailor each treatment to your needs. Whether you’re dealing with a specific issue or injury, are recovering from surgery or need some space to relax and reinvigorate, I treat the whole person, working with the body and mind to release deep-seated tension and persistent aches and pains to promote well-being.
I started my own training school, Myofascial Release UK, in 2003. To-date, I have provided Myofascial Release training to thousands of therapists across the UK and internationally.
Myofascial Release is an approach not a series of techniques. It allows me to help you in a way that is both meaningful and measurable. I not only provide hands-on care but can also provide home-care programmes, help you understand pain with pain education and therapeutic exercise if required.
Over my career, I have worked with many people experiencing pain, fatigue, childhood adversity, sleeplessness, stress and anxiety for many different reasons. Because of the nature of Myofascial Release, many people have found relief and resolve from many of their symptoms.
Special interests:
- Back pain
- TMJ
- Sports injuries
- Scar tissue managment
I support people helping them with the symptoms associated with general aches and pains and can also offer rehabilitation following injury.
