Become an Influential Therapist working with people who have low back, hip and pelvic pain

We know that current evidence surrounding low back pain doesn't support that traditional view that poor posture equals pain. We also know that pelvic and leg length symmetry is not required to eliminate pain.

However, there is still a place for being confident and competent in  pelvic assessment and providing appropriate soft tissue skills that help a client on their journey back to a pain-free active lifestyle.

Wouldn't it be great to learn how to assess the pelvis and relate it to the structures above and below it?

Low back pain is a leading cause of disability in the UK. Expert opinion in a review article notes that up to 60% of the adult population will have low back pain at some point in their lifetime (NICE 2022).

Many therapists get stuck with understanding how the pelvis moves during the gait cycle and its relationship with the legs, ankles and feet below and the spine above.

Traditionally, it is often suggested that low back and pelvic pain relates with lower limb imbalance and with dysfunction of the cervical spine and jaw. However, what is considered as poor posture does not always relate with the experience of pain, especially low back pain - this course helps you to understand why!

Myofascial soft tissue approaches play a valuable role in helping clients feel better about their bodies helping them move better eliminating guarding and fear of movement.

PBPro will help you enhance your understanding of pelvic asymmetry discussing pelvic up slips, down slips, anterior and posterior pelvic tilts and pelvic obliquity. This course will also discuss structural and functional leg length discrepancies and their relevance with pelvic mechanics.

You will gain an in-depth understanding of how and when it is appropriate to provide advanced soft tissue approaches to help your clients achieve optimal function and a pain free active lifestyle.

Advanced techniques are taught using pelvic positioning blocks as an extra pair of hands optimising treatment outcomes.

HAVE WE MET?

Hi, I'm Ruth,

From In-Touch Education.

There's no doubt that we've all been faced with challenges due to the pandemic and we've all had to navigate through uncertain times. For us, as therapists and clinicians not being allowed to physically touch and help her clients was incredibly hard when helping is at the very core of what and who we are, and what we love doing.

Every one of us has had to learn to adapt and create a new way of working. We became therapists because we enjoy helping others to thrive and to regain our health and wellness and we are needed now, more than ever.

In-Touch Education has also been challenged with new ways of course delivery. Like you, we had to take a step back, regroup and adapt. After all, I also love helping people. I'm still a massage therapist at heart, and I love helping my clients to help their clients.

Over the years as a therapist, I have realised that practical skills are vital to our clinical practice but so too is knowledge of anatomy and physiology, theoretical reasoning and effective communication.

I am passionate about sharing the understanding of how pain works along with so that you have the confidence to communicate the complex nature of pain in an easy to understand way to empower your clients and enhance your treatment outcomes.

This is the POWER of being EMPOWERED!

If you're ready to build upon what you already have in your therapy practice

NOW IS THE TIME TO GET STARTED!

There is no better time than right now, so don't wait!
The boom in technology has given us access to more resources and information then we could ever imagine. The best part? It's all at our fingertips with just one click or tap away on a phone screen - not that there was anything stopping you before but now its easier then ever !!! With this new found power of convenience comes great responsibility as well; knowing when enough ISN'T actually ENOUGH...
